What’s the Opportunity?

We're looking for a Head of Marketing who is an exceptional growth-focused marketing leader, that is able to develop go to market strategies and connect with the buyer across the customer journey in our Enterprise, Government and Wholesale customer segments.

You will report into the GM Products & Marketing with the autonomy to develop go to market strategies that generate demand for Vocus solutions, products and services. To support you in your work, you will work closely with the Australian marketing, brand and sales teams.

Through building a deep understanding of our customers’ segment characteristics, buying journeys, personas and behaviours, your team will design and deliver compelling integrated marketing campaigns, offers, product marketing and demand generation activity as the engine of our go-to-market effort.

You'll work closely with teams across Vocus to engage new and existing customers and business partners in activity that drives profitable growth.

The role is based in our Sydney or Melbourne, with the flexibility to work from home and anywhere. The role reports to GM Products & Marketing.

What’s the day to day?

  • Manage and develop the Australian marketing team
  • Develop the annual marketing strategy and quarterly marketing plans, including go to market strategies with measurable results
  • Guide the day-to-day activities of marketing team functions including Campaign Design & Build, Digital, Industry and Event / Channel
  • Develop long-term relationships with a range of external agency partners to augment capability and optimise performance
  • Identify and champion the evolution of marketing technology platforms, applications, roadmap and capabilities to enable your team
  • Build a strong relationship between marketing and sales to develop and execute focused go to market strategies and plans
  • Oversee the development and implementation of other marketing initiatives, including sales collateral, events, conference presence and customer engagement activity (virtual or physical)
  • Leading projects as assigned, such as special events
  • Manage, control and report on the Marketing operational expenditure budget, including quarterly performance / ROI analysis and insights
  • Coordinate with other teams inside Vocus including Brand, Comms & Content, Group Corporate Affairs and Infrastructure & Operations
  • Coach, develop and nurture your colleagues
