About the role

Lead RACS public and fundraising engagement. The successful applicant will be responsible for RACS communications, brand, fundraising and media.

  • Develop, implement, grow & effectively execute RACS public communications and fundraising strategy to build the sustainability of RACS and bolster RACS impact. Ensuring an integrated strategy for all communications functions including media, digital, fundraising, brand positioning and campaigns.
  • Prepare, produce, lead and manage RACS publications and external communications, including newsletters, annual reports, social media and content for media. With an ability to speak to various audiences; a focus on donor retention and new acquisition as well as campaigning and advocacy in collaboration with the Centre Director.
  • Provide leadership on RACS communications, voice, brand positioning and staff profiles to further RACS reach and respond in times of crisis or as issues arise.
  • Develop strategic messaging which is researched and tested regularly for effectiveness. Ensure RACS communications are regularly evaluated and measured for impact testing.
  • Lead on RACS media engagement including producing, pitching and distributing content for the media, ensuring the RACS team are trained and supported with media opportunities.
  • Manage, implement and develop RACS digital platforms and fundraising channels, including RACS website to ensure content is strategic, engaging, retaining existing audiences whilst growing RACS engagement.
  • Lead on RACS public events, ensuring RACS events are effectively produced and impactful.
  • Responsible for driving the growth of RACS monthly donor and one-off donation program.
  • Work with the Head of Philanthropy in the planning and delivery of RACS annual fundraising appeals, to ensure consistency across high net-worth, regular and one of donor programs and communications.
  • Provide support to the Head of Philanthropy with their marketing, branding and event needs to support RACS’ major donor program.
  • Finalise and implement the fundraising strategy, budget (targets) and work plans; Develop annual operational plans in conjunction with the team;
  • Execute and deliver an annual work plan to maximise effectiveness and ensure KPIs are achieved
  • Deliver reports as necessary to the RACS Management Committee and other stakeholders at regular meetings on activities.
  • Engage volunteers, interns and contractors as necessary (videographers, photographers, graphic designers etc) to leverage support for the organisation in the creation of content.
