Job Description


Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Head of Business Partnering will apply their expertise and judgment to identify and prioritise HR risks and opportunities and provide trusted advice to management, negotiating and influencing services and solutions. Leading a team of functional experts within business partnering, you will be responsible for supporting the senior executives in the translation of operational goals, into tangible, people driven outcomes.

As Head of Business Partnering you will also play a pivotal role in the Human Resources Leadership team and work collaboratively to drive best practice HR excellence that enables Griffith to sustain and innovate their people practices including:

  • Leading the implementation and enhancement of our HR Business Partnering model, including developing, implementing and continuing to improve the service model and HR solutions
  • Positioning the Business Partnering team to provide trusted advice and proactive consultancy to leaders on HR policies, practices, plans, risks and/or issues, enabling them to make effective decisions about their workforces
  • Providing thought leadership, work closely and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, utilising and leveraging skills, capabilities and talents in Business Partnering
  • Ensuring that senior leaders and managers have the HR knowledge, solutions and confidence to manage their people in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, practices and values.
  • Continuous improvement to the HR governance approach, processes, cadences; ensuring that projects, initiatives, services and capability comply with relevant legislation and University policies and procedures and values.
  • Leading and promoting compliance with relevant legislation and University policies and procedures, including diversity and safety and exhibit good practice
