Description:

As a Handyperson, you work in a team to ensure the College facilities and buildings are well-presented, maintained and safe for members of our community.

Your Day Will Look Like
 

  • learning on the job
  • maintaining the college buildings and facilities, including repairs and maintenance work, painting, and working with contractors
  • helping out the team in other areas of the school as required, such as vehicle management, gardening, rubbish collection, and set up for school events
  • working in a safe manner, particularly when it comes to manual handling and the use of organic and chemical pesticides and sprays

For This Role, You Will Need
 

  • a passion for working outside and a willingness to upskill and learn new things
  • experience in a similar role, preferably in a school environment
  • knowledge and awareness of OHS procedures
  • sound computer literacy skills
  • confidence in driving quad-bikes
  • a Working with Children Check and Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
  • to be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education
