This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team that drives the strategic planning and delivery of innovative, sustainable and future focused strategies for schools, achieving the objectives of the NSW Government and the needs of a growing NSW population

The Group Executive Director will lead and manage the strategic direction and operation of Infrastructure Planning, Infrastructure Delivery and Technical Services to deliver programs, projects and initiatives that improves and enhances the utilization of school assets as well as cost plan templates and standard design layouts to drive cost effective outcomes and industry engagement.

Stakeholder engagement and strong internal and external working relationships are critical in this role, where you will be influencing sector policy and reform as well as driving the mindsets of our stakeholders, focusing on positive impacts and outcomes.

As a leader you will join an executive team focused on driving improved ways of working to deliver meaningful and long-lasting impact. You will be collaborative, courageous, agile, and disciplined about delivering outcomes for students from early childhood to school, and through pathways to higher learning and work.

• Demonstrated extensive experience at a senior level in the management in a large complex organisation.
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as education, business, management, social sciences or communications, and/or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive performance in complex, politically and commercially sensitive environment.
• Hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check)
• Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
