What we’re doing

The Graphic Designer role sits within the Financial Services Marketing team, who are focused on driving successful outcomes for the Financial Services line of business across both our mortgage broker network (Mortgage Choice and Smartline brands) and our banking partnership with NAB. This team forms part of the Audience and Marketing group, headed up by Melina Cruickshank.

 

Reporting into the Marketing Manager - Broker, this role will lead the brand design function for our broker brand as well our direct home loans offering via realestate .com.au. As the owner of the relevant brand guidelines, you’ll deliver the day-to-day production of artwork for a variety of media, predominantly in the digital space, however inclusive of print and other formats. You’ll also ensure that your work meets our high brand standards and creative objectives.

 

While no two days will be exactly the same, the core responsibilities of the role include:

  • Working closely with our Marketing Managers you will assist with graphic design and branding for our broker brand, as well as financial services related branding and collateral for the realestate.com.au brand.

  • Developing and owning the brand style guides for relevant financial services brands.

  • Ensuring artwork produced is high quality and work within time constraints, which meet brand guidelines.

  • Leading the development of impactful digital content that supports and enhances marketing campaigns.

  • Brand campaign design execution including print, digital, outdoor.

  • Icon development, illustrative graphics for systems/product, and video frames.

  • Social media graphics: Visual post creation and some simple copywriting.

  • Brand compliance: Checks of both internally and externally designed collateral.

  • Working in conjunction/collaboration with marketing designers, and product designers, to ensure consistency & alignment from a group brands level.

  • Liaising with external suppliers such as printers.

 

Who we’re looking for

  • Advanced digital skills & knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent knowledge of artwork specifications when creating finished art for both print and digital formats.

  • Knowledge of digital media processes and protocols, inclusive of web and social media.

  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS for email.

  • Experience in creating & delivering HTML5 assets.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing & managing brand style guides.

  • Video editing experience.

  • Experience working with HubSpot and Umbraco platforms preferable, but not essential.

  • Design Degree or Diploma with at least 4-6 years' experience.
