• Salary negotiable from $52,000 plus super
• Part Time 28 hours per week

The Role

Reporting to the Corporate Communications, Events and Services Manager you will be responsible for promoting the image of Council by producing high quality artwork, signage, printing and video productions and presentations. The role will be responsible for design and production of artwork, colour schemes and logos as required by Council whilst working to Council’s corporate brand and image standards. Quality customer service will be delivered by providing advice on presentation, suitability and layout of graphic material for internal and external stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for a creative designer for this interesting and varied role. The ideal candidate will have practical graphic design experience using Corel and InDesign design software. Creativity in the development of design and production briefs, preparation of artwork, as well as a keen eye for detail are also a priority. The ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, meet deadlines and pick up processes to hit the ground running will be highly regarded.

You must have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Art, Commercial Art and Sign Writing or related discipline
• Demonstrated experience in commercial art (logos and advertising), graphic art and signwriting
• Strong computer skills and experience including the use of software programs for graphic artwork and the ability to learn new programs
• High level attention to detail
• Demonstrated creativity whilst adhering to corporate brand and image guidelines
