In this role you will be working in the Financial Services team and be actively involved in all stages of the grant cycle including planning and design record keeping, promotion, assess and decide, notify and contract, monitor, close the grant and evaluation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide advice to the Community Grants & Partnerships Project Manager on the operation and direction of the Community Investment Support Fund.
  • Deliver the funding programs within Community Investment and Support Fund including but not limited to application, assessment and evaluation processes.
  • Coordinate and support the development and operations of a grants assessment/advisory panel in accordance with the Panel Terms of Reference.
  • Facilitate access to and information for community groups about funding opportunities and other community capacity building initiatives.
  • Management of grant funding contracts, processing of all invoices and financial administration within budget guidelines and delegation levels; reconciliation to the City’s financial statements.
  • Educate City staff on grants management practices and procedures to ensure the relevant skills and training are provided for them to undertake tasks to minimise and control the risk/s.
  • Support the development and maintenance of electronic grants management systems (e.g. SmartyGrants) and be responsible for the administration and maintenance of relevant databases.
  • The preparation and administration of high quality business documentation
