Graduate Accountant

The ideal candidate has recently graduated with a relevant finance/accounting degree and has started/or is intending to complete further CA/CPA qualifications.

Responsibilities
 

• Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of internal technical reports
• Preparing ledger entries relating to premiums, claims, expenses, accruals and cash
• Preparing quarterly Tax BAS reporting to the ATO
• Process monthly employee and suppler payments through a large ERP system
• Assist the finance team with allocations of premium collections by handling enquiries, monitoring and expediting the collection of broker's outstanding balances, and preparing credit control reports for management review.
• Build strong working relationships and processes to ensure smooth communication between their Australian and overseas offices
• Support management with any ad-hoc duties
   

The successful applicant will have:
 

• Recently completed a degree in a relevant degree e.g. finance/accounting/business
• Studying or intending to undertake a CA/CPA qualification
• A great attitude- someone who is very proactive and motivated when it comes to their own learning
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication skills
