Global Brand Project Lead

Your new role

As the Global Brand Project Lead you will take responsibility of the coordination and delivery of the QBE Global Brand Project. This project is designed to create a single shared global strategy for the QBE brand and will work closely in collaboration with a global working group, a lead agency and stakeholders across our regional divisions (UK, Europe, USA, Asia, Australia) and key functions.

This project involves brand strategy development, the crafting of a brand communications and activation platform, customer and employee research and validation, a brand identity assessment and evolution, a framework for brand decision-making and governance and the development of a brand playbook and toolkit.

This role will see you manage project goals, timelines, budgets, ways of working and project governance, meetings and sessions, delivery of each component, management of the global brand working group and management of the chosen agency.

You will;

  • Be part of the Group Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Team - working closely with the Head of Brand.

  • Create and manage the project plan – working closely with internal stakeholders and the lead agency, create a clear project plan, timeline, stakeholder plan and help to keep the project on track and communicate any changes in our course.

  • Help set-up and coordinate our global project working group and steerco.

  • Act as a key point of contact for our lead agency

  • Act as an internal coordinator, advisor, collaborator and problem solver - closely engaging all key stakeholders, providing advice, soliciting feedback, ensuring accountability, ensuring people feel listened to, consulted and satisfied, pushing back where necessary and constantly finding solutions to conflicting feedback.

  • Provide clear communication to all stakeholders of expectations, desired outcomes, progress and next steps.

  • Help coordinate customer and employee research (with our partners) around the globe.

  • Help arrange presentations and key sessions with stakeholders and our agency.

  • Help to continually sell the project internally, acting as one of the project’s chief advocates and drivers.

  • Weigh-in to brand strategy, branding, creative and consumer research discussions and influence for the best possible results.

  • Play a key role in assessing, challenging and improving our Brand ID – and ensure that any changes are practical for internal and external teams to implement.

  • Be a key part of the brand creative idea, messaging and story development.

  • Work with our agency to craft the brand activation platform and the tools we use to help our employees and international agencies to implement it

  • Play a key role with the education and on-boarding program we roll out around the globe.

About you

To be successful as the Global Brand Project Lead you will have strong experience in branding, marketing and communications within a large complex organisation.

You will also have;

  • A passion for brands, creative communications and brand design.

  • Strong advertising and creative agency management experience.

  • Experience in both qualitative and quantitative research management.

  • Very strong organisational skills and a high attention to detail.

  • Demonstratable project management experience across large complex high-pressure projects.

  • An ability to learn fast and manage multiple priorities at any given time.

  • An ability to anticipate obstacles and challenges, identify root causes and develop plans to address.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, listening and influencing skills.

  • A clear and convincing communication style with an ability to relate to people from all different backgrounds.

  • An ability to confidently push back, stand up for what’s right, manage conflicting feedback and find win-win solutions

  • Patience, resilience and a tolerance for working across challenging time zones (however we can hatch a plan that allows you to get good balance)

  • Great energy, a can-do attitude and a desire to have fun and do something special.
