Geospatial Engineer

Description:

The department is seeking the services of two experienced Geospatial Developers to support the Department in creating, managing, and analysing spatial data, and building robust geospatial applications.

The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:

 Deploying solutions into the GIS environment, including deployments of ArcGIS server, Portal for ArcGIS, and Geospatial Server

 Managing Spatial Database Environments - on premise and cloud (SQL Server, PostGresGIS).

 Orchestrate Data ETL Workflows (FME, Python)

 Adapting Spatial Viewer Technology (ArcGIS Enterprise);  Maintaining and designing systems and applications

 Developing appropriate solutions and related technical specification documentation

 Providing status updates to Delivery management

 Liaising with architects, developers, service and data modelers, business analysts, and testers to efficiently deliver high quality work

 Managing and analysing incidents/problems

 Working within large or small multi-disciplinary teams

 Supporting cross function IT projects that rely heavily on GIS technology of data

 Working under Agile framework adhering to scrum theory, practice and guidelines and contributing to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices

 Working with collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence
