The role:

Based at our Port Melbourne office, you will lead the retail and franchise business to maximise sales, profitability and operating efficiencies by effectively managing our people and culture to create an inspiring retail environment. This role is responsible for ensuring yearly financial and strategic objectives are achieved, whilst ensuring a world class customer experience in all stores.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Work with finance to set stores budgets for all company and franchise stores and support and coach retail managers to achieve these.
  • Review and analyse current and historical sales data and market trends to assist the merchandise team in the creation of category plans, and product assortments.
  • Accelerate growth through both the online and retail channels and deliver a connected and convenient customer experience.
  • Ensure retail teams are providing exceptional customer service.
  • In conjunction with relevant parties develop and maintain a Retail Operational Plan.
  • Drive high sales per sqm via merchandising and promotional activation in store and ensure stores are executing visual merchandising directives.
  • Develop a coordinated store opening network plan and work with the store development team to ensure new stores are rolled out on time and on budget.
  • Work with buyers and replenishment teams to ensure the correct stock is in each store and stock levels are maintained to ensure budgets are met.
  • Provide direction and support to ensure warehouse provides optimum flow of product onto the shop floor whilst maintaining the integrity of the inventory system.
  • Analyse and control expenditures including managing wage and labour expenses.
  • Collect and review market intelligence information and develop plans and recommendations on opportunities to improve performance in the current and future sales environment.
  • Carry out ongoing Coaching, Training and Succession Planning to ensure appropriate development of people.
