To help support and grow this standard, we are seeking an General Business Manager to manage our day-to-day operations for our three locations in Mount Isa. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and have proven success in managing multiple locations. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in customer service, human resources, finance, and IT management, and be able to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the business.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Overseeing daily operations, fleet availability, fleet maintenance and scheduling and revenue generation.
- Lead and supports processes to meet and exceed customer expectations, creating a great customer experience.
- Resolving customer issues, ensuring a positive outcome.
- Champion productivity improvements through collaboration with employees while ensuring employees are compliant with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Actively engage in effective communication plans focused on building employee engagement to achieve favourable business results.
- Maintain effective communication with employees and suppliers to ensure efficient operation of each location.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols.
- Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the company’s ability to deliver internally and externally.
- Ensure operational activities are on time and within budget.
- Perform HR duties such as hiring, rostering and managing employees and actively promoting a positive culture.
- Undertake and deliver best practice financial management.
- Honest and reliable engagement with Directors to ensure effective decision making occurs.
What you need to bring to the role
- Two or more years of proven success in a management role.
- Manual Drivers Licence
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong Customer Service Aptitude – Ability to address and resolve customer inquiries.
- Experience in car rental, hospitality, or tourism industry
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while keeping organisational control of branch operations.
- Experience with positive conflict management and business negotiation processes.
- Ability to learn new applications, software, and processes.
