AIR Hub has been designed with industry and research leaders at the forefront of Australia’s Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing industries to reinforce the Australia’s pre-eminent position in advanced composites manufacturing for civil aerospace projects and accelerate development of composites manufacturing for integrated structures and airframes in eVTOL urban passenger, cargo and aeromedical air vehicles.

We are looking for a PhD candidate who will work on:

  • Digital twinning of the environment in which AAM may be operated, undertaking research into the ability of existing hardware and software to accurately characterise and locate natural and manmade objects, commencing in a regional location in Victoria (approx.. 2 hrs from Melbourne CBD) in which AAM trials will be undertaken.
  • Interfacing with the industry partners regarding sensors and related systems already integrated into an AAM surrogate or AAM like aircraft for Trials
