Full Stack Developer

Join our agile team as a Full Stack Engineer to work on strategic initiatives in the Macquarie Technology team, which realises our vision to become a fully automated, self-service infrastructure provider, focused on excellent customer outcomes.

Our development team is responsible for developing the new way Macquarie provisions, manages, and interacts with infrastructure technology.

It is highly valued if you can bring to the role a strong understanding and passion for software development with proficiency in building APIs and system integration, and front-end development in a modern web framework.

This is a great opportunity to expand your experience in our Data Storage and Protection (DSP) team. You will bring a CI/CD mindset and be tasked with developing a variety of processes that currently do not exist in the Storage and Backups technology domain.

• design, implement, configure and deploy developmental frameworks and support these solutions
• support adoption of latest AWS technologies and promote best practices.
• adhere to security standards and policies, ensuring that data is protected at all time
• collaborate with different stakeholders from various Macquarie businesses, infrastructure teams, vendors and partners to deliver high value solutions.
• software development skills in one of the following languages: Java Spring Boot, Shell and PowerShell
• well versed with Java Microservices and writing production ready code
• experience with Frontend technologies such as React/VueJS
• Ideally have experience in Ansible Tool, developing playbooks
• experience in working on AWS and Hybrid cloud environment
• experience building and consuming REST APIs for enterprise class infrastructure
• experience using CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or Bamboo
• experience with Source Control (Bitbucket, GIT, SVN, Stash) and SDLC tools (JIRA, GIT, Confluence)
• a DevOps mindset, with a passion for automation and innovation
• experience using Docker, Docker Compose would be desirable.
