Description:
As a Fire Services Designer, you will play a key role in designing and planning fire protection systems for a wide range of projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to create customized fire protection solutions that adhere to industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to understand client requirements and project specifications.
- Design and draft fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant information for designing fire safety solutions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire codes and regulations.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for fire protection systems.
- Work closely with clients and stakeholders to address their concerns and provide technical expertise.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to fire protection systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing fire protection systems for commercial, residential, or industrial projects - ideally at a contractor
- Proficiency in AutoCAD & mainly Revit for design and Hyena for hydraulic calculations
- Strong knowledge of Australian fire codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
