In this specialised role you’ll be responsible for assessing applications from clients experiencing financial hardship. You’ll be regularly speaking directly with clients, multiple internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to assist and support clients to resolve their financial situation; while assisting managing accounts in arrears for both secured and unsecured lending, using your sound knowledge of collections processes.

  • Assessing hardship applications and liaising with mortgage insurers for approval and consideration
  • Reviewing and ensuring quality control of hardship cases; recommending the course of action for hardship cases
  • Managing arrears on affected accounts and maintaining records of cases in hardship
  • Responding to incoming email and phone requests and updating internal and external stakeholders with hardship enquiries
  • Ensuring all legislative requirements have been met throughout each interaction
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and legislation
  • The ability to work well under pressure using multi-tasking, analytical and problem identification skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities
  • The ability to build relationships at all levels across the business including external stakeholders with suppliers and customers
  • Proven experience in a prior hardship (highly advantageous)
