Join one of Australia’s leading wholesale distribution companies, located on the river in East Brisbane. An opportunity has become available for a qualified Accountant to start as soon as possible, working Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm.

Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will primarily be responsible for supporting your team with:

• Managing the monthly reconciliation of payroll journals and GL
• Preparation and distribution of monthly financial forecasts
• Liaise with management for updating of forecasts both sales and operational numbers
• Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet and P&L
• Analysis and dissection of results including ad-hoc reporting
• Liaise with external accountants to complete annual audit of financial statements
• Preparation and provision of annual reconciliations and management accounts to external accountants to prepare annual tax return and financial statements.
• Reconcile accounts to audited financials through posting of reconciliation journals.
• FBT return preparation
• Preparation and lodgement of monthly BAS & IAS returns for all entities and individuals
• Maintenance of banking requirements and reconciliation

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant
• CA or CPA membership will be highly regarded
• The ability to communicate and understand accounting concepts and principles to other areas of the business
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• 365 Dynamics systems experience preferred
