Financial Accountant

The organisation is now seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Accountant to lead a small head office finance team which continuously looks for opportunities to add value, enhance its service delivery and support the growth of the business.

Reporting to the Financial Controller this broadly scoped role will primarily manage all Group level financial accounting & management reporting and support the Financial Controller to ensure that the business meets it statutory reporting obligations. You will manage a small team, helping to ensure the smooth day to day financial administration of the business including maintaining the integrity of the GL, leading the AP/AR & Payroll functions, supporting the annual budget cycle, monitoring and forecasting cashflow requirements, preparing periodic financial reports and ensuring that the business meets its Indirect Taxation compliance obligations. As the day to day ‘go to’ subject matter expert in the Head Office finance team you will also be expected to drive improvements in financial processes and systems and foster a team-based culture which proactively looks for opportunities to add value.

This role is likely to appeal to an experienced and qualified CA or CPA who is now seeking to apply their broad financial accounting skills in a busy, supportive and entrepreneurial private enterprise. Technically astute, with a strong understanding of financial accounting and taxation principles, you might possess similar experience either gained in a SME or perhaps a larger corporate environment and are now looking for something broader and more diverse. In either case, you will be looking for a challenging role which offers you ample scope to make a broad contribution to the financial administration of a growing business. Manufacturing sector experience is desirable but is not mandatory.
