Job Description

About the role

The Financial Accountant will provide support to the Group Finance Manager and wider finance team by preparing monthly and annual financial statements, BAS & IAS, tax, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, accounting for finance agreements and other ad hoc duties as required.

You will work within a fast-paced, dynamic team and will be a valued member of the Finance Team, providing support with various duties as required. The role is full time based at our Belrose Head Office.

Role Responsibilities;

• Prepare monthly financial accounts for property companies, property developments & trusts.
• Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and resolve issues
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Process journal entries including intercompany, prepayments, accruals, etc.
• Preparation and lodgement of monthly/quarterly BAS and IAS for all entities
• Preparation of AFS.
• Assist with tax calculations
• Preparation of monthly and periodic reports as requested.
• Maintain fixed asset registers, ensuring all additions and disposals are correctly accounted for
• Raise invoices for sale of assets
• Calculation of monthly depreciation and authorization and posting of relevant journals
• Process movement of assets between sites and companies
• Maintenance of asset masters and plant numbers
• Capital expenditure and project reporting
• Prepare annual Audit Workpapers;
• Review Property Rates and Land tax
• Back up for daily Cash Flow Forecast & daily EFT’s payments, and where required when other finance staff are on leave; and
• Other adhoc work as required.
