Description:

The New Colombo Plan (NCP) is a signature initiative of the Australian Government which aims to lift knowledge of the Indo-Pacific in Australia by supporting Australian undergraduates to study and undertake internships in the region. Students undertake Scholarship programs, participate in Mobility projects, and on completion join an Alumni program. The strategic objective of the NCP is to strengthen Australia’s regional standing by building a diverse cohort of Australian alumni with deeper Indo-Pacific knowledge, capability, and connections, contributing to the development of enduring people-to-people and institutional links, as part of the Australian Government’s public and economic diplomacy. Palladium provides Management and Administration Support Services to the NCP Project (MASS).

The Finance Manager is responsible for providing effective administrative and financial management services for the New Colombo Plan (NCP) Managed Administrative and Support Services program. Key responsibilities for the Finance Manager include but are not limited to:

• Providing financial and administrative support to the NCP team.
• Preparing financial reports for the client.
• Ensuring financial records are accurately maintained by key program leads.
• Processing ad hoc project accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices and payment approvals.
• Preparing budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the Contract Manager and program leads.
• Review and monitoring of project expenditure
• Calculation and processing of GST for the Scholarship programs’ Fund accounts in line with procedures.
• Conducting spot checks and leading financial audits for NCP, as needed.
• Internal project financial reporting.
• Documenting procedures and ensuring compliance with financial processes.
• Assisting other members of the finance team as required, including providing back-up support
