Description:
In this role you will drive and manage the delivery of financial accounting services for Commercial Property, including delivering complete, accurate and timely financial results. This includes providing accounting advice when required and ensuring the portfolio is compliant with all regulatory responsibilities.
The role will initially require you to work 4 days a week from the office with 1 day work from home. Flexible working arrangements will be offered post probationary period.
- Responsible for 6 direct reports, you will drive and build a high performing team through leading, coaching and providing guidance Management of month end process to ensure all tasks are completed within the agreed time frames
- Complete monthly consolidated financial reports with accuracy
- Complete and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Responsible for production of the monthly financial Board Report
- Responsible for assisting with Outgoings Statements and Audit process for all Commercial Property assets
- Responsible for the preparation of half-year and year-end financial deliverables
- Responsible for Majors templates and the processes
- Responsible for challenging the current Business Unit’s finance processes and assumptions to drive greater control, accuracy and simplification where required
- Utilise business knowledge and experience to challenge Business Unit results and projected data analysis, developing advice on implications to drive strategic decision making
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal customers / stakeholders including Business Unit Senior Managers & Managers
- Take an active leadership role in broader innovation across the Business Unit at a state/ divisional level
- Conduct end of project/process reviews to identify strengths and areas for improvement
- Appropriate tertiary qualification/s is required
- CA/ CPA or equivalent accreditation is required
- Experience in commercial management, financial accounting, and business insight in a similar level role
- Experience in managing an appropriately sized team
- Experience in providing business partnering is preferred
- Experience in creating productive networks within the organisation
- Excellent prioritisation skills and proven ability to work under pressure
- Experience in SAP is preferred
