About the role

This role is for someone who wants to challenge themselves in a high growth business and make a difference in the world. 

We’re a small team of 15 people based in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland. If you have proven finance capabilities, can operate both strategically and operationally, drive continual enhancements in the finance function and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders then this is the role for you. 

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake the day-to-day tasks associated with financial operations including:
• financial management: cashflow management, foreign exchange management, hedge accounting and payroll
• management reporting: month end reporting, budgeting and forecasting
• regulatory reporting: payroll tax, FBT, IAS, BAS, year end financial statements
• compliance activities: internal policies, procedures and controls, and internal audit
• Develop financial models and undertake financial analysis for project business cases;
• Proactively contribute to the continued growth and development of the organisation both strategically and operationally, as well as fostering a positive team culture and environment;
• Identifying and continuously improve processes, controls and systems to streamline financial operations.
• Reports to the CFO and works closely with the entire TEM team.

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years experience in a similar role
• Accounting qualification desired but not essential
• Xero experience desired but not essential

You are an experienced accountant who can demonstrate initiative and drive to contribute to the success of a critical function within a growing organisation. You are a team player, willing to work collaboratively across various internal functions. Those with experience in “hands on” financial management in an SME environment will be highly regarded.
