Description:
The CFA have a great opportunity for a Finance Business Partnering Analyst. You will focus your attention on supporting budget-holders in the development and management of budgets and forward estimates. You will provide quality assurance services, provide specialist advice on compliance matters and undertakes complex financial analysis to support business decisions. Additionally, you will ensure consistent and efficient application of financial management activities across the business units that you will support.
Key responsibilities of the role will include the following:
- Supporting budget holders
- Analysing budgets for accuracy and improvement
- Fostering forward-looking financial planning
- Ensuring compliance with policies
- Leading a team for consistency and efficiency
- Driving process improvements
- Collaborating with finance leadership
- Participating in government forums
- Managing financial activities during the Fire Danger Period
- Senior Finance Business Partner role as required.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Professionally qualified accountant (i.e. current CPA, CA or equivalent) is highly desirable and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience fulfilling the role of internal consultant with the financial credibility and business acumen to work within business units as a Finance expert.
- Business analysis skills including the ability to interpret, analyse and synthesise information and translate into succinct and meaningful intelligence, and provide compelling presentations to budget holders.
- Ability to work accurately in high pressure situations under tight timeframes with the ability to quickly identify and distil key issues
- Strong inter-personal and relationship-building skills with ability to successfully consult, influence and negotiate at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to translate complex material into meaningful information for end users
- Demonstrated experience fostering collaborative working relationships in a complex environment.
