Downer Water Services, a division of Downer Utilities is set for tremendous growth and as a result is seeking a Finance Business Partner in a Full Time, permanent capacity based across NSW, VIC or QLD.
Reporting to the Finance Manager – Water Services, this role presents an excellent career opportunity for a finance professional to partner with our various Joint Venture operations and finance team, delivering support to Water Services ensuring reporting and controls are strategically implemented and maintained. Leading a team of 3, you will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely reporting for the division, optimal financial outcomes across all Joint Ventures and team development.
Partner with our business and JV finance teams to deliver quality financial deliverables and outcomes.

Oversee and contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring controls are in place and monitored.

Manage and optimise end to end Joint Venture financial processes including cost recovery processes, reporting JV results across ledgers and reporting software.

Lead or support process improvements and systems implementations for the division.

Support bid and tender preparations and financial review.

Mentor, train and support greater finance team ensuring timely processing and adherence across all relevant statutory and provisional financial information.

A strong track record of financial/project accounting experience within a large, complex organisation (Experience with Joint Ventures highly regarded).

Tertiary level qualifications in Accounting or Commerce, CPA or CA membership.

A high level of commercial acumen and the ability to understand contracting environments.

Significant exposure to ERP systems (JDE advantageous but not essential).

A strategic propensity and the desire to lead, guide and coach a team of varying levels of experience and qualifications.
