Exercise Physiologist

Due to ongoing success and growth, Helping Hand are looking for an Exercise Physiologist, either full time or part-time, to join their Metropolitan Division Allied Health Homecare Services Team. You will be delivering Exercise Physiology services, working closely with the Senior Exercise Physiologist and allied health professionals to collaboratively make a difference in the lives of our older population.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Exercise Professional where you will be able to work across a variety of locations within the Adelaide metropolitan network.

Key Responsibilities

Collaboration
 

• Work closely with clients, their families, groups, and communities as well as other service providers and professionals.
• Develop professional networks with other stakeholders internally and externally.
• Support and mentor Therapy Assistants, students and volunteers to deliver Exercise Physiology treatments.
   

Clinical Practice
 

• Apply contemporary and best practice allied health services.
• Assist the Senior Exercise Physiologists in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of health education and staff development programs.
   

Person Centered Care
 

• Provide comprehensive and contemporary, evidence-based Exercise Physiology services to clients, in accordance with individual needs.
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to prioritise care.
• Actively promote wellness and collaboration.
   

About You

You will be a confident person who thrives in a busy environment and has a strong passion for providing exceptional person-centered care.

To succeed in this role, you will have:
 

• Tertiary qualifications in Exercise Science, and current ESSA Exercise Physiologist accreditation (Essential)
• Demonstrated experience providing Exercise Physiology services to adult clients in rehabilitative environments (Essential)
• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills (Essential)
• Current Police clearance (Essential)
• Current drivers license (Essential)
• Current CPR (Essential)
• Experience in aged care sector (Highly desirable)
