Events & Partnerships Assistant

We have an opportunity available for an Events & Partnerships Assistant to join our team based in Sydney. In this part-time role, you will contribute to the Events & Partnerships (E&P) team’s proactive planning, process improvement and delivery of events, webinars and strategic projects throughout the year. Part time days will preferably be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as these are the days the majority of events are held.

Some of your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
 

  • Be the main point of contact for face-to-face events in the Sydney office, with support from the Sydney E&P Manager and national E&P team
  • Plan, coordinate and execute face-to-face events, working directly with Partners, senior leaders, and representatives from the broader Clients & Markets team
  • Create internal and external communications including invitations, related eDMs, landing pages, internal posts, website listings and external social media campaigns
  • Work with the business development team to strategically create invitation lists and analyse post-event attendance lists
  • Focus on continual process improvement in systems (working with the Client Experience/Systems team) to enhance automation, client experience and prospect nurturing
  • Liaise with partner organisations and external stakeholders relevant to specific events
  • Organise and communicate the national BDO events calendar
  • Support the national E&P team with various projects, reporting and administration

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong level of attention to detail
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels and be a team player
  • Willingness to work outside standard business hours as required to execute events
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing or events management
  • Experience in a partnership structure/professional services organisation would be well regarded
