Event Manager

 

Description:

The Old Clare Hotel is looking for a warm, welcoming, experienced & professional events manager to join our Sales & Events team. This role will see you in charge of booking and organisation of all events for the hotel, from commercial photoshoots in our historic rooms to rooftop weddings, and everything in between. 

 

The successful candidate will have experience not only securing engagements from inquiring parties but developing relationships with local corporates and introducing all The Old Clare Hotel has to offer.  

 

About the role: 

  • Innovative approach to our diverse events spaces offering 
  • To drive, analyse and exceed budget revenue expectations for the events team  
  • Preparation of accurate and timely statistical forecasts and reports 
  • Maximise revenue through upselling 
  • Conduct activities and repeat calls to encourage repeat business, to increase demand and overall revenue 
  • To achieve accommodation and event sales in line with targets 
  • Conducting inspections of the spaces with potential clients 
  • To actively promote the hotel facilities by entertaining clients and agents as necessary 
  • Effectively negotiate rates according to selling strategies 
  • Update and maintain accurate account profiles in the database systems 
  • Create and develop successful client partnerships
