Deaf Connect is seeking a passionate individual to support in the delivery of a range of rewarding projects and initiatives to create and deliver meaningful social impact on the Australian Deaf and hard of hearing community.

Under the direction of the Community & Sector Impact Manager, the role provides critical support to the Impact team in an efficient, professional and confidential manner to ensure successful planning and delivery of key projects and organisation related events.

Working as a key member of the supportive Impact team, this role will assist with the coordination of meetings, events and functions to achieve project deadlines.

  • Demonstrated experience in event planning and coordination
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills
  • In-depth understanding of opportunities and challenges facing Deaf and hard of hearing Australians
  • Demonstrated experience with all Microsoft Office programs, SharePoint, Teams and Outlook or similar

You should also let us know if you have these other great skills:

  • Experience in organizing large-scale community events
  • Current WWCC (or willingness to obtain)
