Description:

As the Estimator, you will be play a critical role within the team, bringing together the design, quoting, costing, pricing and procurement functions of the business.

The Main Responsibilities Of This Role Include
 

  • Interpret plans & supporting documentation to develop detailed BOQs.
  • Liaise with Sales, Design and Construction teams to accurately prepare cost estimates.
  • Maintain, and improve systems & procedures.
  • Day to day task management of Estimators.
  • Communicate with other departments regarding material changes to estimating costs & build practices.
  • Suggest ideas for improvements in estimating process & systems.
  • Provide accurate and detailed take offs.
  • Review construction plans and advise of alternative/cost saving build practices.
     

ABOUT YOU
 

  • Relevant Industry Qualification or Cert. 4 in Building and Construction.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Good problem-solving skills with a solutions focused mindset.
  • Able to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work within and across various departments of estimating, with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently both autonomously & within a team environment.
  • Excellent Excel and systems knowledge and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of NCC & relevant standard.
