The role operates with a high level of autonomy within the Engineering Design and Assurance (EDA) team. EDA provides industry-leading design and engineering work that supports the delivery of a world-class metro, engages our people, and enables successful partnerships with local and global businesses.???

The key focus areas for the team include developing long-term strategic partnerships that support the organisation in meeting its goals. Delivery of timely, safe and affordable engineering outcomes with a side-by-side focus on cost planning and design. Maximising technical collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and opportunities for capability development in our people.

To be considered for this role you must have Tertiary qualifications in engineering/computing sciences from a recognised tertiary institution.

The successful candidate will also possess a good understanding and demonstrated experience of the following:

• experience and understanding of working on infrastructure project delivery and providing project engineering assistance to enable projects to be completed
• demonstrated experience providing timely and accurate project reports and briefing papers for management, developing and maintaining quality records, research to contribute to the effective management of projects and engineering works in the field of Rail Systems, Building Services, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
• Demonstrated experience with and understanding of the legislation, policy, processes and practices involved in planning for and delivering major transport projects
• Result oriented with a keen sense of urgency
• An enthusiastic and curious approach with the ability to motivate and influence others
• The role is identified as a Rail Safety Worker under the Rail Industry Worker Scheme
• The team is currently working a hybrid way of working with 1-2 days in the office.
