The Employment Marketing Team is a unique resource within the Department of Justice and Community Safety. Our role is to create innovative attraction and engagement strategies for high-profile, frontline roles such as prison officers, youth justice workers and clinicians.

It's a fast-moving environment which requires cut through ideas to attract suitable and diverse candidates utilising integrated media such as video-on-demand and social to job boards and career events.

About the Role

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Employment Marketing, the Employment Marketing Adviser will focus on the Corrections portfolio with a prime responsibility for prison officer marketing.

This area has seen significant investment over the last 12 months, recently commencing an always-on strategy to meet the needs of prison facilities state-wide. With a strong communications platform now in place, it presents a great opportunity for the right candidate to build on great work and make their mark in a high profile area.

Key elements of this role are to:

  • Drive the development of employment marketing strategies and innovative attraction-related communications
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and Corrections staff to position prison officers as a career of choice across multiple channels/platforms
  • Liaise with media partners and suppliers to develop and execute campaign material to meet deadlines
  • Consistently review industry trends and campaign analytics to improve effectiveness
  • Share knowledge and insights with the wider Employer Marketing and People, Safety, Culture and Communications teams.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • Experience in all aspects of marketing including strategy, planning, research, data gathering and analysis, content production, communications, writing and digital
  • Experience developing effective working relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders and customers
  • Ability to establish credibility on the basis of marketing and organisational expertise
  • Excellent written communication, ability to demonstrate experience developing and presenting detailed, complex strategies and marketing ideas
