Description:
We are seeking an Associate or Senior Associate with expertise in employment law and complementary experience in commercial work, litigation, or dispute resolution. This role offers the chance to work across a variety of matters, from high-level advisory to contentious disputes, while contributing to the growth of the firm's employment law practice.
Your Responsibilities:
- Drafting and negotiating senior-level employment contracts, including CEO and executive agreements.
- Representing clients in Fair Work Commission disputes such as unfair dismissal and adverse action claims.
- Advising on employment law aspects of M&A transactions, including employee due diligence.
- Providing risk management advice and delivering tailored client training on employment law issues.
- Supporting or leading the employment law practice within the firm’s established client base.
Billables:
On average, the target is five billable hours per day. However, the firm values quality work and client outcomes over strict adherence to billable hour targets, ensuring a balanced and flexible working environment.

The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who brings:
- 4+ years post-admission experience with strong expertise in employment law.
- A mix of front-end and back-end employment experience, including advisory and disputes work.
- Additional expertise in commercial law, litigation, or dispute resolution.
- A proactive, energetic approach and a passion for growing a practice.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with large and established clients.
