Description:
Located in Pinkenba, the L3Harris Sustainment Centre (ISC) is a multi-faceted maintenance support entity that provides the L3Harris Defence Australia programs with through life maintenance support. Within this facility, as a member of the Maintenance Team, this role is responsible for trouble shooting, problem solving and repair in support of a large fleet of digital radio equipment. Returning equipment to the user in a timely manner and in a serviceable condition.
Responsibilities of the role include the following:
- Responsible for efficient and effective product diagnostics comprising RF, digital and analogue circuits.
- Responsible for accurate data collection associated with diagnostic findings and solutions.
- Provide feedback to management, engineers and peers regarding diagnostics, processes and tools.
- Provide assistance and coaching to peers and test station operators to further strengthen team capabilities.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained through best practice.
- To ensure that all working practices comply with Health and Safety legislation.
- Provide direct customer support in relation to product diagnostics as required.
- Joint weekly reporting to management team.
- Inventory management and record keeping.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum Certificate III in applicable Technical Trade.
- Proven experience in RF, digital and analogue circuit diagnostics to module level.
- Proven experience in reading and interpreting technical information, engineering drawings and schematics.
- Proven ability to schedule and prioritise work when presented with challenging targets to meet customer requirements.
- Proven experience in conducting technical analysis, communicating findings, conclusions and recommendations.
- Proven experience in reading and interpreting technical information, engineering drawings and schematics. (Same as point 2 in Experience)
- Proven experience in fault diagnostics with digital and analogue circuits to module level.
- Proven experience in setting up and using test instrumentation to replicate Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) failures for diagnostics purposes.
- Ability to work within a flexible team environment.
- Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to technically assess immediate problems and recommend a course of action.
