Electrical Engineer

Description:

DRD Group are looking for an Electrical Engineer for an Owner's team position on a contract basis working on a large energy project in the Pilbara region.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager/Lead Electrical Engineer, the Electrical Engineer would be responsible for working on detailed engineering design of substation packages. The Electrical Engineer will design High Voltage and Low Voltage systems and interfacing between systems to ensure reliability and quality of supply requirements for the substations are met.

About the role;
 

• Performing detailed engineering of substations and switchrooms
• Assist Lead and Senior Engineers to specify inputs to selections of HV and LV systems
• Assist Lead and Senior Engineers to integrate HV and LV systems, protection systems, control system drawings into a fully functional system.
• Design and organise documentation for all equipment, cabling, lighting and lighting calculations.
   

About you;
 

• Electrical Engineering Qualification
• Team oriented and self-motivated
• Design experience with Switchrooms, Control panels and Control systems desirable.
• Knowledge of Australian electrical standards
• Use of MS Office
• High level of written and verbal communication skills
• Flexibility to manage multiple clashing priorities
