Description:
This role is responsible to manufacture, fit, assemble, operate, test, commission, fault find, repair electrical equipment according customer needs, following electrical drawings and other written and verbal specifications.
Key responsibilities:
- Participate in electrical work and competency development activities.
- Fabricate, assemble and dismantle utilities industry components.
- Solve problems in D.C. circuits.
- Fix and secure electro technology equipment
- Use drawings, diagrams, schedules, standards, codes and specifications.
- Solve problems in single and three phase low voltage machines.
- Solve problems in single and three phase low voltage electrical apparatus and circuits.
- Arrange circuits, control and protection for general electrical installations.
- Solve problems in electromagnetic devices and related circuits.
- Solve problems in low voltage A.C. circuits.
- Terminate cables, cords and accessories for low voltage circuits.
- Trouble-shoot and repair faults in low voltage electrical apparatus and circuits
- Develop and connect electrical control circuits.
- Conduct compliance and functional verification of electrical apparatus and existing circuits
- Carry out basic repairs to electrical apparatus.
- Conduct mechanical tests on electrical machines and components.
- Repair and maintain mechanical components of electrical machines.
- Apply Occupational Health and Safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace.
Qualification and experience

- 2 –3 years of electrical assembly experience, including panel building and wiring, in an industrial setting
