Description:
The Special Needs Education Assistant will ideally have the knowledge of effective strategies to support students, combined with the ability to be highly organised and use initiative. You will assist the teacher with the operation of computers and digital technologies, implement individual or small group programs, and the supervision of students in out of class activities and on school excursions. Suitable applicants will work across classrooms, so flexibility is important to the role. You will also assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining materials and resources, for use in classes, displays and demonstrations, and assisting the teacher with clean and safe storage of items after classes and activities.
