This position will be a hands-on mentoring role to support and build the capabilities of educators in our services and to drive high quality inclusive programs that support the inclusion needs of all children to achieve best outcomes and success in our services.

Duties will include a strong focus on all matters relating to the Safeguarding of children and vulnerable people within the Agency. There will be a requirement to liaise and provide advice to the MMCNQ leadership team, research and develop Safeguarding resources and build and maintain stakeholder relationships within the Catholic Diocese and the wider Early Childhood Education and Care sector.

The successful candidate will be required to travel to our services in Townsville, Ingham, Mt Isa, Palm Island, Proserpine and Bowen.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Degree qualified with specialties in Education, Inclusion and/or Child Protection (preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in supporting the implementation of contemporary, high quality, inclusive pedagogy in early childhood and school based setting or similar
• Excellent interpersonal skills including high level oral and written communication skills, negotiation and problem solving with capacity to interact effectively with a broad range of stakeholder
• Paid Working With Children Check (Blue Card)
• National Criminal History Check
