Description:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join Sydney Children's Hospitals Network’s (SCHN) Communications and Engagement Directorate. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with exceptional writing skills and ability to manage a large workload whilst adapting to changing priorities, to join a collaborative and supportive team.
Using your expertise and experience, you will work with a variety of stakeholders to maintain the identity of SCHN’s corporate image, and assist in creating audience-specific content, with a focus on internal communications at an executive level to a range of internal and external partners and stakeholders. Working from both The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, you will promote SCHN as world leaders in paediatric research and healthcare.
What you'll be doing
The Communications and Engagement Directorate is responsible for implementing the communication, media and engagement strategies, maximising positive communication opportunities, and promoting the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN), its facilities and associated institutions.
The Editorial Manager is responsible for maintaining the identity of the SCHN corporate image through written and online materials. The role is responsible for the development and execution of communications strategy, with a focus on internal communications, at an executive level to internal stakeholders.
High level writing and editing skills
High level verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with staff and community at all levels
High-level organisational and time management skills and demonstrated ability to be self-directed and innovative
Ability to script, film and edit videos.
Ability to set priorities and achieve agreed objectives for both short-term and long-term projects
Relevant experience in a media or internal communications role executing strategic communications strategy at an executive level
A degree in a media relations and/or journalism, equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience
Ability to rapidly understand complex issues
