The role
As the Editorial and Content Manager you will be working within our Brand, Content & Digital team as part of our broader Group Corporate Affairs & Sustainability team. You will play a pivotal role in telling the QBE story and helping us deliver our purpose and strategy. You’ll be responsible for planning and creating timely and compelling content to promote, protect and differentiate QBE’s brand and reputation with a focus on the Australia Pacific division.
How will I help?
A day in the role may look a bit like this;
Contribute to and execute the AUSPAC content and social media strategy ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs and business objectives
Manage the Australia Pacific brand editorial and content pipeline, driving the development of compelling content to amplify across internal and external channels including blog posts, articles, research reports, video, podcasts, social media campaigns and more (both creating content in house and regularly working with freelancers and agencies)
Working closely with marketing and corporate affairs colleagues to and develop proactive storytelling opportunities (with a focus on brand and reputation building campaigns and stories)
Create, edit and review content for internal clients, ensuring brand narrative and tone of voice alignment, editorial integrity and service excellence
Provide best-practice communications, content and campaign management advice, support, tools and guidelines to internal stakeholders at all levels (including executive level)
Manage complex, multi-channel communication plans including stakeholder engagement and approvals.
Translation of our strategic priorities, business plans and brand strategy into a strategic campaign ideas and content activities.
To be successful as Editorial and Content Manager you will extensive experience within leading a large content pipeline including managing agencies and freelancers.
You will also have;
Strong digital content capability, including understanding of SEO and relevant digital channels, social media and video production
Strong influencing and stakeholder management/engagement skills
Experience managing reputational sensitivity with the ability assess and manage risks and issues
Understanding of content and social metrics
Financial services/insurance industry experience an advantage
Tertiary qualifications in Communications or Journalism.
