Distance Education Primary Teacher

DISTANCE EDUCATION PRIMARY TEACHER (Year P-2) About the role: We are seeking applications for a suitably qualified Year P – 2 Distance Education Teacher, preferably able to write curriculum. Successful candidates will inspire students in their learning, be flexible and adaptable with their teaching style, have solid organisational skills and be eager to work closely with a team of experienced teachers.

The position includes:

Working collaboratively in a team environment with Colleagues, Students and Parents/Carers
Delivering teaching by utilising online platforms such as Zoom, pre-recorded videos, and telephone and email.
Providing tracking, marking of work, and reporting, whilst utilising pre-existing plans, processes and formats.
Writing adjusted education programs for students with varying needs
Preparing teaching and learning programs and overviews.

Requirements:

Proactive and well organised
Flexibility, ability to work in a team, and also to be self-motivated
Excellent communication skills
Possessing an in-depth knowledge of the Australian Curriculum
Experience with education in the early years, and with working with children with a variety of abilities and learning needs
Familiarity with Charlotte Mason principles and philosophy, or willingness to acquire that knowledge
Availability to work on the campus at Kallangur.

Essential Criteria:

a current teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers

the experience and ability to teach Primary Years P-2
the ability to write and deliver curriculum in a highly engaging way, using best practice pedagogy
the outlook of a team player
proven ability to drive academic achievement whilst supporting a diversity of learners
the ability to integrate digital technologies into teaching
