Calvary Launceston is looking for a dynamic and innovative, economical leader to take ownership of the Director of Finance and Corporate Services role. The position exists to provide leadership and comprehensive financial advice and Corporate support to Calvary Launceston executive and management groups.
This role is responsible for controlling the financial, accounting, ancillary and Corporate services stream in line with statutory and organisational requirements. The role will also have several departmental managers reporting to them including: Patient Services, Supply, Building and Infrastructure and Hospitality Services.
About You
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to lead multi- disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated extensive experience, with a record of achievement, in financial management, budget processes, monitoring of financial and business performance and accurate forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage service delivery, provide strategic advice and analysis and drive continuous improvement
- Accounting qualification in the form of a degree in Economics or Commerce is essential. Post graduate qualifications such as an MBA or further courses of study in finance or general management disciplines will be well regarded.
- Experienced and highly developed in the full range of financial disciplines including financial accounting/reporting, management accounting, costing, financial planning (budgeting), forecasting, cash reporting, audit, consolidations, tax and statutory reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Financial role preferably with hospital sector exposure.
- Knowledge of health funding principles and practices.
- Membership of either the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ACA Level) or the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA Level).
- Advanced computing and spread sheet experience including MS Excel, Access and Word.
