How You'll Make An Impact

As the Director Quality Assurance you will lead the Quality Assurance Cohort in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software systems. You will play a pivotal role in the software development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and execute comprehensive testing strategies. Your scope will be international covering Australia, New Zealand, UK, US and beyond.

You will be part of the International Applications Team responsible for the Luminos Claims platform, which is deployed in Australia, New Zealand, and UK. The team consists of Business Analysts, Developers, Functional & Automation testers , Architects, Project Managers, and a Support team.

On a day to day basis you will:
 

  • Review project requirements, User stories and acceptance criteria to understand the scope of testing and identify potential gaps or ambiguities
  • Develop and maintain Test strategies and test plans for the QA Team.
  • Support and collaborate with the Business Analysis, Development and Application Support cohorts in the delivery of new features to the business
  • Manage Regression testing to ensure any new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionality
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and other testing artefacts for future reference and audit purposes
  • Provide leadership to the QA team to ensure compliance and adherence to test processes
  • Closely interact with the Business SMEs, Operational Leaders and Clients where necessary to ensure successful testing of feature releases
  • Develop, maintain and present key test reporting artefacts to the relevant, often senior, stakeholders.
     

About You

We are interested in hearing from people who have:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Eligibility for an Australian Baseline Security Clearance
  • Flexibility to collaborate seamlessly with teams in multiple time-zones
  • Demonstrated experience in manual Functional testing and automated testing
  • Sound understanding of the role of Quality Assurance in the SDLC
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, capture & resolve complex issues
  • Experience with modern software development management tools including JIRA, Confluence, Selenium, Continuous Integration
  • Experience in software & project delivery teams, including estimation, sprint planning and test strategies
  • Strong interpersonal skills, drive, and ownership
