Digital Marketing Manager

 

Description:

Established in 1864, the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) has over 30,000 members, making it the largest member-based racing club in the world and hosting 25 race meetings per year. It is governed by a Board of Directors who are elected by the Members and the Club employs up to 200 permanent staff year round. Additional support roles are appointed on a contract basis for the lead up to and during the Melbourne Cup Carnival and a sizeable event-based workforce is employed throughout the year. 

 

The Position

 

The VRC is now seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to join the team, reporting in to the Head of Digital, Development, Products & Channels. You will play a key role in the development and execution of digital marketing strategies across critical business activities such as the Melbourne Cup Carnival, race days and key member racing/non-racing events. In addition your focus will be to increase mass audience awareness to build the brand and create a connected community both on and offline and to maximise customer acquisition and retention.

 

Other key accountabilities will include:

 

  • You will be responsible for multi-channel digital campaigns so that it is an embedded discipline within all marketing campaigns.
  • Drive collaboration within the wider team to create insightful strategies and recommendations for optimisation which are backed by data analysis, target audience and campaign objectives
  • Craft, brief, build, send and analyse performance of eDM communications
  • Recommend growth strategies to increase sales and traffic to our websites and other platforms
  • Work alongside the marketing manager and media partners to deliver on crucial campaign objectives and deliverables
  • Contribute creative ideas and A/B testing to ensure best practice is delivered to all VRC digital marketing activities

 

About You

 

You take pride in the role you play in an organisation and you have passion and energy to work in a dynamic and busy environment which is focused on collaboration, ongoing improvement and innovation. You have demonstrated experience in a digital agency, digital marketing or communications role and are Tertiary qualified in this field.

Your career has seen you develop a strong skill set across the Google marketing suite, social media marketing and exposure to D365 Marketing, Insights and Click Dimensions is preferred. You have a strong knowledge of SEO and SEM strategy and execution and have a desire to work in this space. With excellent collaboration, communication and project scoping skills you have the ability to juggle competing priorities across a broad range of stakeholders to drive positive outcomes.
