Our Customer and Communications team drives innovation and delivers results that delight customers. Leading the strategic management of marketing and communications, community engagement, place engagement, a fantastic range of events, the City’s digital transformation and customer experience.

As a digital specialist, you will play an integral role in driving strategic digital outcomes for the City of Stirling. You will advise and collaborating with wide range of internal and external stakeholders; lead the development, implementation and evaluation of digital marketing campaigns to meet goals and objectives at a corporate and business unit level; manage the City’s website and lead improvements and projects; and ensure the City’s brand is optimised. Work proactively to assist and guide Business Units in the digitisation and automation of their services – whether that be through website enhancements, workflow processes, systems upgrades or other means – for WA’s largest local government by population.

Supporting the broader outcomes of the Marketing and Communications team and reporting to the Service Lead Marketing and Communications, you will be a responsive, driven and people-focussed professional who can drive and empower positive change as part of a positive team culture, and build and maintain strong relationships.

If you think you’ve got what it takes, and you share our commitment to driving excellent customer solutions that balance the needs of our many stakeholders, you will be able to demonstrate the below criteria:

  • Substantial skills in website content management (including WordPress and Kentico systems)
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools, link building and website audits with a view to streamline and integrate new systems.
  • Significant knowledge of ad serving platforms.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
  • Substantial experience in digital marketing, workflow management tools, analytics tools and survey creation/analysis.
  • Experience leading the delivery of a major project (such as a website build or redevelopment or similar digital project).
  • Previous experience working with budgets and in contract management.
  • Proven experience in working with diverse stakeholders to achieve optimal organisational outcomes.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or work experience.
