About the
Position
We are
looking for a high-performing APS6 to lead the Digital Content
Team. It is an exciting opportunity to lead a small team through a
period of transformation. Your primary role will be to maintain the
digital content process from governance to writing and publishing
on our website, under limited supervision.
You will
also play a crucial role in supporting the organisation’s
digital transformation programme, providing branding, style,
language and accessibility advice on projects and other activities.
Your expertise will be needed to build the capabilities of the
business to produce high quality user focused content.
Your
immediate focus will be the website redevelopment project which
represents a key priority for the organisation. We are currently in
the ‘live’ stage of the project. The project will
change the way we create digital content, and you will need to
forge your own path in the role as you support the roll-out of the
new website and a new content governance process.
Maintaining the style of
the new website will be your ongoing priority as you look for
improvements to better meet the needs of the community. You will
need to work closely with stakeholders to ensure consistency across
our digital content from language to design. As a legal institution
it also critical to ensure our information retains legal accuracy
and this will be an important consideration, and the subject of
discussion with stakeholders.
Duties
As the
Digital Content Team Leader, you will:
•
Lead a small digital content team, setting priorities that align
with organisation objectives and ensuring quality
outcomes.
•
Use your expertise to mentor junior staff and build their
capabilities.
•
Provide reports to the Director using Google Analytics and identify
potential issues and areas for improvement.
•
Maintain the digital content creation process from content writing
through to publishing.
•
Produce digital content that aligns with our style and brand and
meets government guidelines (accessibility, style manual
etc).
•
Provide expert advice on our internal guidelines (editorial, brand
and style), web accessibility and user centred content
development.
•
Ensure our digital content is written in plain language and is
consistent with our guidelines, is accessible and targeted to our
users.
•
Work closely with internal stakeholders to produce quality content
and use your knowledge to build their capabilities.
•
Maintain our subscription services – currently delivered
through Campaign Monitor.
•
Maintain the content retention schedule.
•
Conduct other activities as directed.

2022 with the possibility of a further extension or becoming
ongoing.
