The Data Analytics Centre (DAC) exists to lead a whole-of-government approach to data analytics, to tackle some of the State’s most difficult policy challenges. Using data analytics, managed analytics (powered by the DAC’s Advanced Analytics Services), and guided innovations programs, the DAC works to connect data, people and insights to build world-class capabilities in whole-of-government data analytics to improve health and well-being, safety, social, economic and environmental outcomes for the citizens of NSW.

As a DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for operating DAC Advanced Analytics Services ensuring that the system is working and running optimally. Your day-to-day activities include platform engineering, data operations, platform maintenance/administration and issue resolution to ensure best practices in system administration are embedded at the NSW DAC.

• Supporting the DAC Advanced Analytics services in a complex hybrid environment with a wide variety of services (analytics, database, visualisation) - This includes Databricks, Snowflake, ETL systems, databases, and visualisation tools (Qlik, Tableau etc) hosted on Azure, AWS & GCP cloud environments
• Provisioning and implementing analytics, data and visualisation services as PaaS resources for our customers
• Carry out operational, compliance and application maintenance tasks via strategy-building tools
• Ensure issue resolution as per agreed SLA; Develop corrective actions and standard operating procedures to solve operational issues
