Devops Engineer

Description:

• Cloud DevOps Engineer to work in a small agile team, developing and supporting scientific data processing pipelines, development environments and supporting infrastructure.
• Practical experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Python, Terraform, DevOps and Agile practices is strongly preferred.

Statement of Work

• Knowledge and practical experience using AWS, Kubernetes, Python, Terraform, DevOps is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge and practical experience using Agile practices is strongly preferred.
• Contribute to an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
• Work with data scientists and software engineers to create and maintain operationalised data processing pipelines.
• Work inclusively with a diverse team of people to develop maintainable and well documented code and infrastructure-as-code.
• Collaborate with other cloud engineers to help build and run cloud-native solutions.
• Provide technical advice to software engineers, data scientists and executive stakeholders via text discussion channels, video conference meetings, pull requests, email, and formal documentation.
• Participate in team coordination rituals such as daily stand ups and sprint retrospectives.
• Engage with the open-source community as applicable.
