The roles will lead and manage Large Capital Projects for the SSEN Transmission Business, developing substation, overhead line and cable projects ranging in value from £10m to £2bn.
What do I need?
Senior Development Project Manager (SDPM)
To be considered for this role, we would like you to have:
- Strong leadership skills with experience of developing, managing and reporting on significant infrastructure project budgets (£10M and above).
- Engineering or Project Management qualification, degree, or equivalent.
- Experience of infrastructure project development through the optioneering and initial design phases, with an ability to develop the optimum project solution, deliver to timescales and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- An ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver multiple project outputs to inform key processes such as Planning Applications, Tenders and Design Works.
- Knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other key relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Experience of the NEC3 Suite of Contracts, with a focus on the Engineering and Construction and Professional Services Contracts.
- Detailed understanding of the RIIO-T2 business plan and regulatory commitments with the ability to interpret wider business drivers and implement appropriate plans.
- Detailed understanding of the Electrical network and the SSE Transmission Business.
Development Project Manager (DPM)
To be considered for this role, we would like you to have:
- Experience of developing, managing and reporting on significant project budgets (£10M and above) and an understanding of the electrical network within the Transmission business would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other key relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Experience of the NEC3 Suite of Contracts, with a focus on the Engineering and Construction and Professional Services Contracts.
- Experience of project development through the optioneering and initial design phases, with an ability to develop the optimum project solution, deliver to timescales and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- An ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver multiple project outputs to inform key processes such as Planning Applications, Tenders and Design Work.
Assistant Development Project Manager (ADPM)
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- A Degree in an Engineering discipline, Project Management or related analytical area would be an advantage as would two years' experience within infrastructure, energy, large scale project development or construction industries.
- Experience of managing and/or supporting Development projects, and reporting on significant project budgets would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other key relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams delivering multiple project outputs to inform key processes such as Planning Applications, Tenders and Design Works during development through the optioneering and initial design phases would be an advantage.
- A positive project-oriented attitude with an ability to problem solve, deliver to timescales and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
