We are currently seeking an enthusiastic installation design engineer to join the Alstom team. In this role, you will work with a dedicated team to perform Installation Design activities for the upgrade of trackside signalling equipment.
Key Responsibilities for this Role Includes:
Prepare and execute installation design activites including site surveys, design drawing s, documenation, specifications, method statements an d other technical documentation
Develop detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) for specific Installation activities
Ensure all documentation is in line with project and customer requirements
Support onshore and offshore design teams
Raise any potential concerns that could impact Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD).
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required Includes:
Proven competency in producing 2D installation, assembly and production drawings
Good knowledge of Australian drawing/drafting standards
Previous experience working with complex, multi-discipline teams (from software through to installation of hardware in the field)
Ability to work well in a team environment where everyone is responsible and accountable for their actions
BIM experience would be beneficial
Previous experience working within rail is an advantage however not essential
This role is initially a 12 month fixed task role with potential opportunities for extension or to move into a permanent role.
